CCSCH6 SESSION

The 6th Session of the Codex Committee on Spices and Culinary Herbs (CCSCH6) will be held virtually from 26 to 30 September 2022, with report adoption on 3 October,2022.

The opening session will begin at 2.00 PM IST (10:30 hours CET) on Monday 26 September, 2022.

Shri. D. Sathiyan IFS, Secretary, Spices Board India, Dr. Roderico H. Ofrin, World Health Organization (WHO) Representative in India, Mr. KondaChavva, Assistant Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in India, and Mr. Guilherme da Costa Junior, Chairperson of the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) also addressed the Committee.

A pre-session webinar, will be organized on Thursday, 22 September 2022, from 3.30 PM (12:00 (noon) to 13:30 hours CET), which also will address first time participants.

Sessions will be held on 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30 September from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM IST (10:30 to 13:30 hours CET)..

The report adoption will be on Monday 3 October 2022 from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM IST(10:30 to 13:30 hours CET).
The Session will be conducted in English with simultaneous interpretation in Arabic,French and Spanish.

In the upcoming session, reports of Electronic Working Groups (eWG) for the following draft standards will be discussed
  • Dried Saffron
  • Dried seed Nutmeg
  • Dried Chili peppers & Paprika
  • Dried small Cardamom
  • Spices derived from dried fruits and berries (allspices, juniper berry, star anise and vanilla)
  • Dried turmeric
  • Updation of the template for the Spices and Culinary Herbs (SCH) Standards

ONLINE PRE-REGISTRATION

Online pre-registration is now open and all participants should provide their information (names and addresses) through the Online Registration System provided in the Codex website latest by 23rd September 2022. The registration is done by the National Codex Contact point (NCCP), which in India is the FSSAI.
Login and password for the online registration have been provided to all Codex Contact Points and Contact Point of Observers Organizations. Registrations can be done through the National Codex Contact Point.
